analogue performance for film projectors and drums
The noumerous 16mm films of the archive of projection artist and musician Georg Eisnecker are the basis for this performance, that trys to get to the bottom of the essence of work.
Arranged in a circle of an average diameter of 17m, up to twelve projections at a time show parts of these films in short loops that are changed over and over again, trying to compact the image of actions from pure manual ones over to machines. These pictures are set into music by four musicians, starting from an interpretation of the shown movements changing over to an abstract polyrythmical improvisation.
Finally, the audience can participate in the musical process.
